How It's Made: A Wolf's Cry, Page 6
Last page of A Wolf's Cry. Here's how it's made. Take a look at the script, storyboard, and pencils for this page.
Script
1. Hana is shot with the arrow. Her arms are outstretched and the arrow pierces her heart. She looks shocked.
2a. Natsumi with her eyes wide.
2b. Hana's eyes half closed.
HANA ...you never listen. (her words trail off)
Storyboard
I have a feeling some folks may have seen this ending telegraphed about a mile away.
The storyboards helped me place the images, but when it came time to actually draw it, I went into Blender and mocked up the poses and played around with a decent camera angle. Yes, I actually do have a (poorly) rigged wolf model to help me position him in various shots. I only use it sometimes and opt to try and draw him without, which is pretty difficult sometimes, but I gotta learn.

Final Art
I thought about using some speed lines in the big panel too, but when I tested it, it just didn't fit right. She doesn't need speed lines while whispering her last words -- maybe if it were Attack on Titan though, that would be a different story.
So this is actually the end of the current chapter of The Rabbit and the Moon. I hope you're enjoying it.
