Print on Demand Services
These are paid services I've used to print small runs of books to sell at local conventions or to do print-on-demand and sell online.
Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP)
Okay, this one is free. I used this to publish the Lolita Fashion Coloring Book as a physical book. I don't have to keep any inventory. I supplied a PDF with my artwork and a cover. It's printed on demand by Amazon when someone purchases a copy of the book. I get paid royalties for the book. It's free to get started with and use. If you need an ISBN, Amazon Kindle can give you one, but it's an ISBN that you can only use on Amazon.
CatPrint
When I did shows, I had 11in. x 17in. posters made. I used this service. I thought it was relatively inexpensive to get a small run of posters printed.
Ka-blam
I used this for printing the graphic novel version of This Mortal Coil: The Rabbit and the Moon. You supply a PDF of your book and a cover and they can print out books for you. I used this service to print books for an art show. They can also print books on demand.
Mixam
I used this for a reprint of The Lolita Fashion Coloring Book when I wanted to sell them at a local convention. These guys have a slick interface to upload your book, but I think they're a bit pricey.
Sticker Birbs
Sticker Birbs is great for doing small runs of stickers.
Sticker Mule
I've done some small test runs of stickers as something to give away to friends. Sticker Mule also does sales every so often so you can get a run of stickers or charms for a low price.
Vistaprint
They're great for printing business cards, signs, labels, Christmas cards.
