To the Moon, Page 4

Fly me to the Moon
" ...And let me play among the stars..."
That's one of my favorite songs.
I digress.
Of course Jade would head back to the moon once he was in space.
How can they breathe in space? How can Hana talk on the Moon? Why would plants grow on an inhospitable rock orbitting the earth?
That's a good question.
Like Rick tells Morty in "Rick and Morty," "Don't think about it."
Now that I'm thinking about it though, I'm really starting to question how it all works though... I'm kinda like one of those kind of nerds.
Check out this fan art of Kamiko...
From last Thursday, this version of Kamiko is by Griffin Cost. He's the author and artist for an online comic called Blood Catalysts.
You can read it here: bloodcatalysts.com.
I read through the four chapters online. The story begins when a young man is given cybernetic arms against his will and left on the side of the road. A doctor named Tak nurses him back to health and becomes curious about his implanted arms. There's a lot of setup and character introductions, so I'm not sure where it will go yet, but it's got plenty of intrigue and mystery to give the story legs. The art is done in dark shades of gray and there's a great sense of cinematic flare with some of the comic's paneling.
If you're looking for an unconventional Mexican crime drama, something noir to read then take a look at Blood Catalysts. Be warned though lots of violence and language.

Some more fan art...
Yesterday's new fan art of Kamiko comes from the artist and illustrator for the webcomic The Far Side of Utopia, Bill Reed.
This originally came about from a forum post on Webcomic Underdogs back in late January:
"While I can do what I usually do with background 'posters' and just sort of scribble on them, but I've never been super happy with that approach, and I figured it'd be funny idea to include fan-art of other webcomics if there were people interested.
I'm not going to guarantee it'll happen, but the general idea is that your magical girl would be on a poster on a wall in the background - it'll probably be not super visible, but!"
I proffered up Kamiko -- she's a magical girl after all -- and this is the amazing artwork Bill created.
You can view the whole page right here. Kamiko's magical girl poster is in the last two panels.
There are several other webcomics represented as well: M9 Girls by hipopotamo and Ariane Eldar private by spg.
I didn't notice this the first time I looked at it, but way in the background behind Kamiko as a tiny spec is Jade floating through space, and of course the trail of butterflies coming from the moon.
